Patrick Drake: Profile
Patrick Drake is the son of former PC resident and GH playboy, Noah Drake who lived in town in the early 1980s. He came to Port Charles to operate on Jason Morgan's brain and ended accepting a staff position at the hospital where he's had interaction with his father. We've learned that Patrick's mother died on the operating table with Noah as the surgeon and Noah turned to drinking to cope, destroying his career and derailing Patrick's before it had even begun.Father and son shared a bitter relationship even after Noah went to reheb and returned sober. While Noah was in rehab, Patrick settled in Port Charles, flirting with every available female at General Hospital. He saved Manny Ruiz's life and befriended Carly Corinthos while fending off threats from Sonny Corinthos after taking Emily Quartermaine out on a date.
He learned that his father has cirrhosis of the liver and needs a transplant to live. Noah refuses the transplant and that has been set off track by the flu epidemic that's hit Port Charles and put Patrick square in the middle of it--with having to choose who received the antidote.
After epidemic ended, Patrick divided his time between convincing his father to have the transplant and pursing Robin. The two of them teamed up to give Noah a liver transplant after he slipped into a coma and could no longer refuse one. Patrick went under the knife for a living donor transplant. He recovered and is doing the two steps forward, five steps back dance with Robin.
