Robin Scorpio: Profile

Robin came to Port Charles with her mother Anna Devane and grandmother Filomena in 1985 when she was seven years old. At the time Robert Scorpio was unaware that he had even fathered a child. It didn't take long for her to become the apple of her fathers eye.

Anna was very close to her stepfather, Duke Lavery, and his death devastated her.

In 1990 Robin found a crystal on Spoon Island and showed it on a television program that was watched by her parents arch enemy Cesar Faison who wanted the crystal. One night the crystal lit up Robin's room and Casey, an alien from Lumina appeared. Robin's mother decided to help Casey find his way back home and consequently Anna, Robin, and Casey were kidnapped by Faison. Of course Robert rescued them and eventually her parents were reunited and the Scorpio family moved into the old Webber house.

In 1992 Faison kidnapped Anna, and Robert went after her leaving his brother Mac as guardian to Robin. There was a boat explosion and it was assumed that Robert, Anna and Faison were all killed. It took nearly 10 years for Robin to learn her mother was alive.

Robin went to work for a teen hotline and had a crush on Jason Quartermaine who only had eyes for Karen Wexler. Karen eventually ended up with Jagger Cates who had a rebellious brother Stone who was working for mobster Sonny Corinthos.

Robin then developed a crush on Stone, which upset Mac immensely. Stone told Robin he had been tested for AIDS and had tested negative however he never followed up with the test six months later. Initially when Robin and Stone had sex they did use protection however eventually they had unprotected sex. It was eventually learned he had full blown AIDS.

He was terrified to tell Robin. However when he was shot in the leg when helping to break Frank Smith out of jail, his blood got all over Robin; he freaked and ended up telling her that he had AIDS. Robin loved Stone and taught him many things before his death. Robin was tested for HIV and the first time she was negative, however when she had the follow up test she tested positive. She didn't want to tell Stone as he was on his deathbed but decided there had never been any secrets in life between them. So, somewhat reluctantly, she told him. After Stone died Robin befriended the brain damaged Jason Quartermaine Morgan and they eventually became lovers. However when they were shot at in her house and Jason was in the hospital Robin realized she couldn't bear to lose another person that she loved and gave him an ultimatum, either he quit working for Sonny or she would leave to go to school in Paris and their relationship would be over. Jason opted to continue working for Sonny as he felt that he only placed Robin in danger. Robin then left for Paris.

Robin returned in the fall of 1997 at the request of Jasper "Jax" Jacks, to help Brenda recover from her breakdown at the loss of Sonny. Once Robin returned to Port Charles, though, she realized that she did not want to go back to Paris. She missed her family and friends, but most of all, she missed Jason. The two reunited, and -- much to her Uncle Mac's dismay -- Robin decided to drop out of Yale University and move in with Jason.

Robin befriended Nikolas Cassadine, sharing a common bond of missing parents and having to age much earlier than they may have wished. However, his feelings for her were always stronger than hers for him. In early 1998, she learned old friend Tony Jones had kidnapped Jason's son Michael. Tony kidnapped her, and, unable to get her HIV medication for her, Robin nearly died before Jason rescued her. She continued to support Tony, even testifying for him at his kidnapping trial; he and Alan were 2 of the few people Robin shared warm goodbyes with as she left town.

When Jason and Robin eventually reunited, they first lived in his penthouse, then they moved into Brenda's old cottage with Michael. Then Carly got out of the mental hospital and moved in as well. Robin and Carly did not get along, and soon Robin had enough. She broke up with Jason and planned to return to Paris. After extreme taunting from Carly, told AJ that he was really Michael's father. She told Jason she wanted to stop his pain, stop his dependency on Michael, but Jason and Sonny took this as a huge betrayal. Jason and Robin met a final time at their bridge, and he told her it would be far less painful if he never had to see her face again. She then left town.

In 2000, she returned to speak at the Nurses Ball. Her friendly greeting to Sonny turned sour after realizing he and Carly were involved. She and Carly viciously argued, and Robin told Sonny she had lost all respect for him.

In 2001, Robin came to Pine Valley when she learned her presumed-dead mother, Anna, was alive. An amnesiac Anna had a memory flash of her daughter, and they tearily reunited. Robin met Anna's twin sister, Alex. Robin learned Anna had no memory of whether Robert was alive or dead; Anna learned Robin was studying to be a doctor, and that Robin was HIV-positive. Robin wanted Anna to return to Paris with her, but Anna had to stay in hiding because of people trying to kill her. Robin angrily wondered why Anna kept coming back into her life only to leave her each time. They made up, Anna promising to see her as soon as the danger passed. Robin gave her a bracelet, they embraced, and Robin retrurned to Paris.

Robin was briefly mentioned in January of 2003 when her stepfather, Dr. David Hayward, called her up. Robin spoke with Anna and decided to accompany Anna while she traveled to Switzerland to seek care for problems she was having with her pregnancy. In September of 2003, Anna left Pine Valley to see Robin in Paris.

Robin returned to Port Charles in summer 2004 to attend Lila Quartermaine's funeral. She ran into various old and new faces (Courtney, Brook Lynn, Jax, Alan, etc.) and finally Jason himself. She discussed all the time she was spending with her mother in Europe and that she was glad to see he was spending time with the Quartermaines. Jason thanked her for making him realize how important family was. A peace seemed to settle between them, a final way of saying goodbye, as they walked into the church to say goodbye to a woman they both loved and respected.

In 2005, Robin was working as a doctor in Paris when she was contacted in regards to her work with experimental memory drugs. They were hoping she would have a drug that could help Jason. Robin agreed to come home briefly to treat Jason. She stayed in Port Charles and took a staff position at General Hospital where she met fellow doctor, Patrick Drake, son of Noah. Their strange relationship has been momentarily set off track by both his father's medical problems, the new epidemic sweeping Port Charles--oh and Robert's alive too.

Robin fell ill with the virus but recovered when Patrick gave her the antidote found in the islands by Jason and Carly. Robert left, and Robin has seemingly moved on without him. She and Patrick are again dancing around each other but Noah's liver disease has taken full focus.
